About Me

About this blog!

I, (Danella) started this blog for our family! I think 99% of the time I would be the one blogging. This blogging world is new to me; I have been wanting to share this new stage of our lives with our friends and family! We love you all and welcome to our blog :]

A son's love

**by Samantha Richter ** Tiny hands, tiny feet. I've waited so long for us to meet. Who could've known a love so true. Innocent and perfect, you're safe within my arms. I'll watch over and protect you, I'll keep you safe from harm with mischief in your smile and wonder in your eyes. Watching you as you sleep, feeling every sigh, I could look at you for hours, and always be content. you became my living angel; when you were heaven sent. just the thought of you, makes my world seem full... you are my life, my love, my son: my precious Lucas

I Am Not Alone

( Author: Unknown ) Running errands and talking on the phone, I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone. Little tiny hands, a precious rounded knee, pushing and twisting that no one can see. Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is our little secret that only I can feel. I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin, but for now I will just smile, as I feel you play within.

Family is the best... ALWAYS

There is no feeling better than the feeling when you are around your family.  It is what you really need for vacation, what is going to make you feel relaxed and so happy.  That's the way I felt for more than month with my husband and my family.  To be with my family and to share moments together will not only be printed in pictures and in my memory.  I am so glad Heavenly Father created us with a memory to remember good feelings and good times.

Dang we were tired about work and school.  We are so glad we went on this WELL DESERVED vacation. We tried to spend as much time as possible together; we always tried to make it work with everyone’s schedules and busy lives.

So, the first time we went to El Centro de Lima we took a look around, visited some museums and bought a souvenir for Grammy (Andrew’s).  We were bummed that we didn’t get to ride the mirabus, because every time we tried buying the tickets, they were sold out.  We tried going again to El Centro de Lima one day after Peru’s Independence Day and the tickets were sold out again! SADDEST DAY.  We just went to visit El Centro even further, got to see some desfiles by the Palacio de Gobierno.  And we ate… OF COURSE.

Since there is no need for my parents to have a huge car, we took a taxi that had their trunk open to the back seat.  We were a lot! So, we pushed the boys back there while my dad sat next to the driver and the girls were in the back seat. We were so crammed!

We were almost there when Josh wanted to barf. Yikes! He got so dizzy and had nausea.  We stopped in a random place and we walked for a while.

So, I didn’t really care if we were gaining weight or not, we were in vacation! For this time family activity… we had ANTICUCHOS.

 Show those hearts!

Andrew can't decide which one is yummiest, anticucho, tamal or papa rellena...

For dessert, we had combinado, suspiro, (s)zambitos… etc…

 (S)Zambitos

This is La Plaza San Martín.  We took a family pic.  Here, Sandrito took the pic…

And Andrew took the pic here…

Going back home, we got a different ride, everybody crammed in the back seat. Sweet!
Family is home... and it gives you this warm feeling in your heart =D
