About Me

About this blog!

I, (Danella) started this blog for our family! I think 99% of the time I would be the one blogging. This blogging world is new to me; I have been wanting to share this new stage of our lives with our friends and family! We love you all and welcome to our blog :]

A son's love

**by Samantha Richter ** Tiny hands, tiny feet. I've waited so long for us to meet. Who could've known a love so true. Innocent and perfect, you're safe within my arms. I'll watch over and protect you, I'll keep you safe from harm with mischief in your smile and wonder in your eyes. Watching you as you sleep, feeling every sigh, I could look at you for hours, and always be content. you became my living angel; when you were heaven sent. just the thought of you, makes my world seem full... you are my life, my love, my son: my precious Lucas

I Am Not Alone

( Author: Unknown ) Running errands and talking on the phone, I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone. Little tiny hands, a precious rounded knee, pushing and twisting that no one can see. Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is our little secret that only I can feel. I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin, but for now I will just smile, as I feel you play within.

The following day...

Next day we woke up early and went to Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Pisaq… We were so amazed by all the buildings and their structure.
Sacsayhuamán was the capital of the Inca empire. They built this place with large boulders cut to fit together tightly without any type of glue or mortar! I don´t know how they cut them or how they carried the stones, but it is just fascinating!

SACSAYHUAMÁN  -- or "sexy woman"  xD

Sacsayhuamán seen from above

This was destroyed by the Spaniards, it is believed it had this structure...
Boulders perfectly placed on top and next to each other

Going in!

Sacsayhuamán love =p

This is dried magma, if you make a compass touch this magma, the needles will go crazy!

You can also play =D

QENQO
No one knows what this was built; it could have been an altar, a court or an Inca’s tom. This place was probably one of the most important sanctuaries in the Inca empire.  The word Qenqo means "maze"

going in the caves...

We were lucky it was sunny, we would have tripped a lot of times had it been dark!

We visited some other places like "El criadero de LLAMAS" !!! and a place where they take care of animals that are in danger of extinction.  Also, we visited a place where we saw how people color the fur of the vicuña, llama, guanaco and alpaca.

This Condor missed our heads... yikes!!!

The following section is dedicated to my friend COOKIES, you may choose your favorite one cookie cooks! and one for cookie junior.

Gimme food!

These girls are so beautiful

These women are amazing! they can make a purse BY HAND in only A WEEK!

I WAS ABOUT TO BRING THIS GIRL TO THE STATES! Look at those eyes! and look at those cute shoes!!!

OLLANTAYTAMBO
was the royal place of the Inca Pachacutec who was the one who conquered that area, the built Ollantaytambo.  When the Spanish came to conquer, this place served as a fort.

Look at those! this completely takes your breath away

It is best not to touch the rocks because the skin's PH damages these rocks.  Though, these stains not only were made because of PH but because of the wind and rain.

After visiting Ollantaytambo, we went to take the train to Aguas Calientes where we needed to take a bus to take us to Machu Picchu.  We didn’t have much money left, so, we bought cans of tuna and bread; that was our lunch for I think 2 or 3 days.  Also, I can’t believe how much money tourists have to pay! For example, the train ride was cheap for me but for Andrew it was LITERALLY 20 times more expensive than mine. Yikes! There are separate trains, one for Peruvians and one for tourists.  Andrew wanted to hop in the Peruvian train so we would pay only the Peruvian fee for both of us but they wouldn’t let him. He even said he would pay the tourist fee to be with me in the Peruvian train; they wouldn’t let him either. So, I had to take the tourist train… How lame! We didn’t want to travel separate since it is a long ride...
