About Me

About this blog!

I, (Danella) started this blog for our family! I think 99% of the time I would be the one blogging. This blogging world is new to me; I have been wanting to share this new stage of our lives with our friends and family! We love you all and welcome to our blog :]

A son's love

**by Samantha Richter ** Tiny hands, tiny feet. I've waited so long for us to meet. Who could've known a love so true. Innocent and perfect, you're safe within my arms. I'll watch over and protect you, I'll keep you safe from harm with mischief in your smile and wonder in your eyes. Watching you as you sleep, feeling every sigh, I could look at you for hours, and always be content. you became my living angel; when you were heaven sent. just the thought of you, makes my world seem full... you are my life, my love, my son: my precious Lucas

I Am Not Alone

( Author: Unknown ) Running errands and talking on the phone, I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone. Little tiny hands, a precious rounded knee, pushing and twisting that no one can see. Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is our little secret that only I can feel. I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin, but for now I will just smile, as I feel you play within.

5 weeks

Sometimes, I see my baby and I tell myself, "Wow, I have a baby... is my own baby!" It's incredible.  Baby Lucas is growing and growing day by day.  The way I can tell he is growing is when I change his clothes-- he fits in bigger sizes now and is leaving behind the small ones.  My little one's face is changing too... I want my baby to stay as baby! Both Andrew and I enjoy Lucas so much.
Lucas' schedule has changed for the better :) The first 3 weeks he would wake us up every hour! Then he would wake up every 2-3 hours and now he only wakes up once or twice at night which is awesome.  It is funny how he changed our sleep schedule too.  Before Lucas' birth, we would sleep around 7 hours and now it is funny... whenever we sleep for at least 4 hours we feel rejuvenated :)  Saturday mornings are the best. When Andrew doesn't have to go to work and even though sometimes it is hard to sleep in we play with our baby.

For some reason, when Lucas wakes up around 7 am he is so hyper, smiley and wiggly!!
He is 5 weeks and I am loving it.  Motherhood is better than I thought it would be.  I love my family so much.  I am thankful to our Heavenly Father that I have an eternal family!
Lucas is a good baby.  He rarely cries "just because" it is always because he's either hungry, sleepy or in need of a change of diaper.  Then he just basically chills on his little baby rocker.

My mother and mother-in-law helped us so much the past 5 weeks. Now that they're gone... I miss them. They cooked, cleaned, took care of the baby, took care of me, entertained us and much more! We appreciate everything they've done for us.
Here are some pictures...
