Wow, only 2 more weeks until I meet my baby. I have never waited this long for something THIS SPECIAL AND MEANINGFUL! I've always wanted to know how a pregnant woman felt and now I am experiencing it myself! It is a wonderful feeling; sometimes, it is very strange to know that there is indeed a baby growing inside my belly. It is amazing to know that this little baby NEEDS ME to be able to live-- that he couldn't do it on his own. This is one of the most amazing gifts from my Heavenly Father. He needed me and Andrew to create this little one.
I feel so full of love and ready to give it all to my baby. Sometimes I wonder how he looks like. I hope he looks like Andrew when he was a baby. He was very cute :)
The times that I cherish the most are when I a doing my daily things and I am reminded by a little kick that someone is with me at all times. Sometimes, I just sit back and relax and look down and see how my belly moves.
I can't believe I am going to be a mother. Pregnancy and its joys are all new to me.
This baby is such a blessing to Andrew and I. I am grateful that everything is going well, baby boy is healthy and has a strong heart according to the doctor. He kicks way too much, sometimes it is really uncomfortable but at the same time is sweet; I don't know how to exactly describe it.
I didn't know my belly could have such elasticity, I am still appalled that it hasn't cracked!!
I feel blessed to be a mother and so happy to have a husband like Andrew. My body has changed a lot! Every time I look at myself at the mirror I still can't believe that the pregnant lady on the mirror is actually me!
I like it when Andrew and I refer to us as a family of 3 already. I say things like, "Do you want to cuddle with us?" or he would say things like, "Do you and baby want to go and do this...?"
The funniest thing is to feel my baby's hiccups. My poor little one has them all the time! A few months ago he didn't seem to care but now he doesn't like them and moves and squirms all around (maybe trying to get rid of them)
I can actually see my belly button inside out. Great. I didn't know it looked like that! haha! Day by day this belly of mine is getting heavy. I have a support belt thanks to my siblings and my husband; it helps a lot!
I like being pregnant, there are a few things I don't like such as:
- Having to go to the bathroom all the time (including the middle of the night)
- Going up the stairs and being breathless after 5 steps!
- You need constant help from someone if you are walking in icy/snowy places :)
- Not being able to eat ALL you can. "Eating for 2 people" IS A LIE!! Your stomach is so squished that there is no space.
- Forgetting you are pregnant and opening doors and realizing that the door just bumped into your growing belly.
- In this snowy winter... not being able to go sledding :(
- Feeling HUGE!!
Pregnancy is better than I thought it would be-- I don't think I am going to be able to say that about the delivery--- but, I just love it. I can't wait to start motherhood. I am so grateful for this wonderful gift. It is incredible how when I was single all I thought was: siblings and parents. Now, is Andrew and our son. I still care about my parents and siblings but the care and love I have for my own family is different and indescribable.
There are times when it shocks me: YOU ARE GOING TO BE A PARENT. I get scared, excited, nervous, happy... I just only pray I am a good mother to this baby. I know I can rely on Andrew and he can rely on me.
Andrew and I went to the doctor 2 days ago and he said the baby is already in position to be born! He also said there is a chance the baby will not hold it until the due date. That makes me a bit nervous but excited. Andrew has been nesting haha! He's been
